Eating Sucks!

So funny, but also frustrating at the same time. She is so stubborn about eating her food. As you see here she will not open her mouth for me. She tightens it up when I come near. She has figured out all my tricks to, where I would give her something to play with and then she goes to put it in her mouth and swoop comes a spoonful. Ha ha! She is not to happy in these pics.

Trunk or Treat Time!

I was going to be a gypsy and then changed at the last minute to being retro chick. Just wanted to be more comfortable. This hairstyle, I saw the tutorial video about a year ago and decided to try it on myself finally. It was pretty fun to wear it, thats for sure. And by the way, I don't usually take pictures of myself, but just really wanted to capture the hairsyle.

Our sweet kiddos! Ms. Jolee the Wizard, Mr. Gage as Captain America, and sweet Aspen as an adorable little elephant. We had a great time at the trunk or treat for our ward. The kids got a lot of candy that I am still eating. Unfortunately Matt had to work. Working in the evening really counts him out for most of the fun activities going on. We went and saw him after the activity was over and we'll get to do Halloween with him tomorrow. Yay!

Jolee had a very fun Birthday party. She had a few friends and cousin Landon there. We planned on having a slip'n'slide party and the weather turned out overcast and a bit rainy, but that didn't stop the kids from getting out there and having fun. A little rain doesn't hurt anything right? Actually kinda fun to play in.

Went today and got the jumper out of the storage unit, cause Aspen is ready for it. She loves being stood up and seeing whats going on with everything and everyone. So now she gets to have a new sense of freedom without anyone having to hold her up.

We went to visit Matt's grandparents up in Reno and see where Matt grew up a bit. Matt had a fun time reminicsing. It was so fun to see them and Uncle Tom. Bonnie, Kutter and Aaron came also. We all had a good time hanging out. We got to see Matts Uncle Steve and Aunt Anita too at their house. It was Anita's birthday. They have nine kids. Matt and I got to go play volleyball with some of them which was super fun and my first time since I've had the child. Can't wait to fully get back into things. All in due time, right?

We had fun family time bowling and minature golfing. I was horrible, but I havent done it for several years, so thats my excuse, and I just had a baby, ha ha! Jolee beat me and Kutter and Gage at bowling. Matt won late in the game. Go JoJo! I love the picture Matt tried to take of me golfing with my hair flying off and away. Not a good day to wear it down. Bonnie and Uncle Tom played minature golf with us. Uncle Tom beat Bonnie and I. We had two games going with us and the kids and Matt and Kutter.

We went to Bonnie Springs with some cousins and Grammy. Pretty cute place. The kids had a good time. There were a couple of peacocks just roaming around the place. Beautiful creatures I must say.

At exactly two weeks, Aspens umbilical cord thingy finally fell off. A little late I think. But we finally got to give her a bath. She of course hated it at first. Then when I was able to keep her warmer she warmed up to the idea. Cute little stinker. Jolee did a great job taking a bunch of pics for me.

Aspen Marie Sherman was born March 21, 2011. We are all so happy she is here and healthy. Jolee and Gage love her to death. Too much sometimes. She is the sweetest piece of heaven.

I picked Jolee up from school the other day and she was Alll busted up! She had her shoe lace undone and tripped on it and did a sweet slide on the black top. I didn't see it myself, but she told me about it. And you can clearly see that it was so. I was like,"Dang!" I told her I wanted to take a picture of her and she was all embarrassed and didn't want me to do it. So she closed her eyes? I don't know why that helped her not be so embarrassed, but funny none the less.

There are a ton of Lady Bugs in the backyard. We love to look at them. I am still trying to get the kids to hold them, but no way man. They are still scardy cats, but they love them. They're silly. Such city kids. Sheesh!

Matt, Gage and I went to Wendys to eat lunch the other day, and I was trying to get Gage to try Ketchup on his fries cause he never will. I know he would like it because I put it on his scrambled eggs every time and mix it around so he doesn't know its really there. But he wont eat eggs any other way. Every time I ask him if he wants it he says "no!" So anyways I was trying to bribe him to actually consciously eat it himself. Ha Ha.(Matt calls me the food Nazi) So I told Gage that I would take him to the dollar store if he tried it. So...he did it. He got himself a cool set of FBI agent things that will break in two seconds.

Here are the kids on Christmas Eve doing the Nativity Scene with cousins. Jolee was Mary and took her role very seriously. Gage was a sheperd and on the other hand was just a normal goof ball like normal. He was giving me a pirate face in his picture by himself. After I took the picture he wanted to see the pic in the camera, but kept his pirate face on as he was asking me to see it. It was soo funny. (If you can understand the story)

Pumpkin Patch

Grammy likes to take the kids to Build-a-Bear when they turn three for their birthday. It's not quite his b-day yet, but Bonnie won't be able to be here for it so she did it while she was in town this week. I think it's safe to say that he absolutely loved it and of course had a lot of his famous funny facial expressions as he was watching the guy fill up his dragon with cotton. It was a crack up. Bonnie asked him what his dragons name was and he said it was "Roar". He had a hard time focusing on one thing at a time cause he just thought everything was soo interesting. Thanks Grammy, you're the best!

We had all Saturday together. We got massages in the morning and then had breakfast. After that we went to go see a movie. Hung out a little bit, then packed our stuff and checked into the M. Got ready and went to an amazing Italian restaurant and then went to Phantom of the Opera. It was absolutely incredible. We were pretty bushed after that. It was a great weekend. I love my husband more now then I ever have and it keeps getting better.

This was our hotel room we stayed at. In the M Resort. Very nice I must say.

Love Sewing

I just made this dress for Jo about a week ago, and I think it turned out pretty cute. The more I sew, the more I love it and of course the more you practice at something the better you get. So sewing is one of my hobbies. Since I took a picture of Jolee, Gage wanted in on the action and wanted some spotlight too. So there he is in his fabulous jammies. I love my kids!

Everyday when Gage and I pick Jo up from school, he runs and gives her a huge hug right when he sees her come out. It's the sweetest thing. Then she tries to pick him up and carry him, as of recently. That's pretty funny itself, since he weighs almost as much as she does.

Halloween was a blast! Everyone was there except for Luke and Rach and their sweet Eli. We missed them terribly. The kids were sprinting from house to house and just having a good ol time. And now it's a tradition that all us grownups dress up too. It probably started cause all of us girls like to dress up and then of course we make our husbands do it too. Matt calls me a Halloween Nazi. I know he really loves it, just acting like a tough guy.

My baby's all grown up!

These are a tad bit late, due to computer problems. Here she is though on her first day of school. She was soo excited all day about it and when we got there she was a little timid and then went right in and started playing with the other kids. She was soo ready to be in school. She actually found that a little girl she made friends with at the gym was in her class. She was really happy about that. Gage had quite a fit when he wasn't aloud to go play on the playground with the school kids. He now understands that it's not for him and just for JoJo. He says "NO no me, no no mommy, oney JoJo." It's halarious. This experience definitely made me feel a little older.

We had a blast for Jolee's Birthday. The Holmes came down and stayed a couple days. In the morning of Jo's birth, we went to Sky Mania and jumped our little hearts out. Jared, Mellisa and Landon came too. I unfortunately didn't bring my camera cause it's a hassel when I'm jumping and then try to get pictures of everybody too. Afterwards, we went back to the house and had pizza, presents and cake. That night we went and played some more at the park. It was a great weekend.

The kids and I went for a last minute trip to go visit the fam in St.George. Matt had to work, so he couldn't come. We had a great time jumping on the trampoline and building forts up stairs. Gage just absolutely loved Presley and wanted to hold her all the time. It was adorable.

The family went up to Red Rock hoping to let the kids play in some snow, but found out that it had already melted. But we had a fun time walking around and just spending some quality time. For Jolee's Birthday this year we went up to St. George to celebrate with the fam. It was seriously a blast. The kids did the slip n' slide and I made a pinnate. My brother Aaron and sister Becky helped me finish off the castle cake I made for Jo. We laughed and laughed and had a great time.

Yesterday, we all went to the dentist. Something that I always dread because I always have something wrong with my grill. It was also Jolee's first time and she did great. She was a little hesitant, but after things were explained about ten times to her she was cool. So believe it or not, I had zero cavities and same with Matt and Jo. Gage was there to and was crying most of the time. I was really embarrased. Matt came in for his appointment when I was almost done with mine and Gage was just not having it. I know I know, why didn't I get a babysitter? Matt was oringinally going to be able to be there the whole time, till the last minute. Anyway, everyone at the office was so nice, it helped me be a little relieved.
Jolee was so proud of her clean teeth and just loves the Dentist Office now.

AN ACTUAL UPDATE!

Hey, I know I'm not good with updating. I need to get a new adaptor for my camera so I can put more photos on here. So a quick update; Jolee turned four last month, I can't believe it. Gage is doing great, but getting a bit of an attitude. My kid right? Yeah right, Matt's got way more attitude. He, He! I'm looking for a new job. I just applied at the Green Valley Casino Spa and Salon. Anyways, we'll see what happens with all that. Fun stuff, ehh?
So I think I got Matt to actually want to go see the Twilight movie. He saw that there was a certain actor in it that he can appreciate. I won't let him see it with me when I go. I'll be going with my sisters and we will be having a big Edward bash. So I know he wouldn't want to be around that. Alright, that's the update, peace-out!
